January 2006, I had the opportunity to visit and stay for a week with my aunt, uncle and two cousins at Casa Tranquila. We had the best times. Every morning we would relax on the patio outside of the master bedroom and enjoy the beautiful crystal clear, turquoise blue water. Sometimes I would even fall back to sleep in the hammock. Then we would ride our bicycles into town and eat breakfast. In the afternoon, we enjoyed the white sand beaches. The Na Balam was my favorite. This beach is the most magnificent beach in the Mexican Caribbean with tropical gardens and hammocks under beautiful palm trees. The sand is so fine and the water is so clear. One afternoon we went on the other side of the island and my cousin and I swam with the dolphins at Dolphin Discovery. Another afternoon my aunt, cousin and I enjoyed a massage right on the beach at Casa De Los Suenos Resort. For a nice, classic, sit down dinner, I would recommend Villa Rolandi Hotel.
My experience staying at Casa Tranquila was a great one. I would highly recommend staying there. It is located in the middle of the island so it is easy to get to either side very quickly. Taxiâ??s are always passing by eager to take you where you would like to go. Also, the island welcomes you to rent a golf cart as transportation. Casa Tranquila is very clean, cozy, definitely home like and the sofa and the beds are very convertible. The scenery from the patio is so beautiful, still to this day; it takes my breath away thinking about it.
